Balorado will offer three tracks in 2025. We've added some notes about what to expect from each class track, and some comparable class tracks at other events. Please note that these are a guideline. If you have any questions about what class track you belong in, please email support@balorado.com.
Beginner
Comparable: CalBal Crash Course & tracks B/C, Hot Rhythm Holiday Freshman
In this beginner crash course, weβll be lolly-ing down the bunny slopes and covering all the basics. No experience is needed. Expect to cover topics like up-holds, down-holds, lolly kicks, out & ins, and toss-outs.Β
Intermediate & Intermediate +
Comparable: CalBal Tracks D & E, Hot Rhythm Holiday Sophomore & Junior
Congratulations, youβve graduated from the bunny hill! Itβs time to sharpen your edges and tighten up those turns. Dancers in this class track should have a FIRM grasp of the basics (up-holds, down-holds, lolly kicks, out & ins, and toss-outs) and be ready to improve their technique and build their vocabulary of moves & stylings to handle anything the mountain or the dance floor throws at them.
Advanced & Advanced +
Comparable: CalBal Tracks E & F, Hot Rhythm Holiday Junior & Senior
The powder is fresh, and so are your skills. In this advanced class track, weβll be shredding gnarly terrain at speeds of up to 240 bpm. Dancers are expected to have a solid Bal repertoire and come to class ready to work on nuances. Moves are NOT the focus in this track, how you move and connect to your partner and the music will be the focus.Β
The Burrito of Shame, featuring Kay
Balorado does not plan on doing official level checks. However, if you attempt to shred a black without the skills to get down the mountain safely,Β you might get the burrito of shame.
In other words, Balorado reserves the right to request that you switch class tracks if we think you might have a better learning experience in another track.
