π Dancing High
(In elevation, of course.)
Denver is located at 5,280ft above sea level. While many people don't experience any symptoms, some people will experience mild fatigue, headaches, and shortness of breath.
Here are some tips and tricks to combat any altitude ickiness:
π§ Drink more water. Like, a lot of water. Some extra electrolytes would also be smart.Β
π» Be cautious with alcohol. It will hit harder at elevation.
π₯ Eat healthy(ish). Food is fuel, and your body will be working a bit harder than usual.
π¦ More water.
βοΈ Wear sunscreen. We are closer to the sun, and skin cancer is not the vibe.
𧴠Pack moisturizer and chapstick. The air is drier. Your hair will look stunning all weekend, but you will go through an ungodly quantity of chapstick.
ππΌ Get some sleep. Your body works really hard at dance events, and it's going to be working even harder if you're not used to elevation.
π Did I mention water?
